Saturday, March 29 * National Mall - Washington, DC 8,000 people helped the Epilepsy Foundation raise $1.3 million dollars.

The spirit of the National Walk for Epilepsy was carried across the country by individuals from Santa Cruz, CA to Stowe, VT and even oversees to Germany. We want to thank and highlight those individuals who performed walks within their communities to support and raise funds for the Epilepsy Foundation.

"Beyond the Finish Line" - Empowerment Forums following the Walk
New this Year! One of the goals of the Walk is to create greater awareness of epilepsy and help those who have epilepsy improve their quality of life.
Three special empowerment forums took place following the Walk. The forums provided information about ways to live better with epilepsy and were geared for specific audiences--teens with epilepsy, adults with epilepsy and parents and caregivers of people with epilepsy. >>Learn more
A Message from Greg Grunberg, the Chair of the Second National Walk for Epilepsy
Greg Grunberg, the star of the hit show Heroes, has a real-life hero—his son who has epilepsy. He and his family would like to thank you for supporting the Walk, and making it the single most successful event for education and awareness in the 40-year history of the Epilepsy Foundation.

WTOP's own "Man About Town" Joined the 2008 National Walk for Epilepsy
Bob Madigan, known throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan area as WTOP-Radio’s 'Man about Town,' joined us again to raise awareness and make history on the National Mall. He and thousands of others represented the more than 3 million Americans living with epilepsy.
